SUPPORT WORKER
Location: CB6, near Ely
Hours: An average of 30+ hours a week (120 hours+ per month)
Please note hours are subject to change when G is at college, school holidays and any other changes in routine.
Pay:
- Weekday Daytimes £15.46p/hr
- Weekend Daytimes £16.65p/hr
- Night sleep (8hrs) Monday-Thursday £101.68 per night
- Night Sleep (8hrs) Friday-Sunday £108.16 per night
- Mileage reimbursement when taking G out
Essential Requirements (Please Apply Only If You Meet These)
- Full UK driving licence (max 3 points) and access to your own vehicle
- Comfortable supporting with personal care and community access
- Available for various shifts including night shifts over seven days a week, which will increase in school holidays
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- Non – smoker (including electronic cigarettes)
About the Role
You will be part of a 24 hour support team. Your role will be to support G with everyday tasks (including personal care) whilst supporting him to grow in his independence, taking him out, and helping him to continue his learning.
About G
G is 21 years old and lives in his purpose built home, with his parents living close by. G has Downs Syndrome, he is non-verbal, and needs support for all aspects of personal care. He has a great sense of humour, loves going out, watching his tablet, looking at his favourite books and being part of a social group.
G needs 24 hour support (including sleep-in nights). He attends college 4 days a week.
Working Hours (number of hours / days/shift pattern)
- Hours of work – on average 30+ per week
- Shift patterns include an evening/night shift from 3.30pm-8.30am and daytime support (when G isn’t at college) between 8.30am-3.30pm. However, days and hours are subject to change depending on the needs of the client, as such flexibility is required. At weekends, and in college holidays, shift patterns can change; some team members prefer a 24-hour shift (eg 4pm-4pm).

Key Responsibilities
- Support with daily living and all aspects of personal care

- Maintain accurate records and communicate with the wider support team & parents.
