All new starters at Ben Holden Ltd are automatically enrolled onto our Fundamentals to Clinical Case Management course – a bespoke programme which ensures all our staff are trained to the highest standards.
The 12-month course is split between six modules, covering all the fundamental areas integral to becoming a rounded, experienced case manager.
All sessions are delivered by senior BHL staff at our Wherstead office, with some modules also including input from our trusted external partners.
Sessions will be delivered every two months, with all clinical and administrative staff eligible to take part in the free sessions as part of our drive to champion inclusivity and education.
The grounding of every successful case manager is a thorough understanding of the law.
This module teaches attendees all they need to know on the workings of the civil legal system and any changes to legislation which might have come into effect since they finished their training.
Case managers engage with a wide range of third parties on a daily basis – from doctors and nurses to the architects who could design plans for accessible accommodation.
Through this session attendees will learn the best ways to engage with these external partners to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
As its name suggests, management is a crucial skill for every case manager. And the management style we use at BHL is an important feature which sets us apart.
In this module, we not only explore the best techniques to manage our clients – but other parties too, including their families and healthcare agencies.
We put our clients at the centre of our decision making, tailoring our services to achieve their unique goals based on the highest standards of scientific evidence.
Through this module, we not only explore how best to measure outcomes and successes, but how to engage with clients and build a treatment plan that best supports their needs.
As case managers, we don’t just offer treatment to our clients – we help them find and obtain accommodation and equipment that is specialised to their unique needs.
From modified bathrooms to customised cars and wheelchairs, in this module we look at the ways to best identify and source the things that can transform the lives of our clients.
Just like with sourcing accommodation and equipment, clients will often lean on us to help find support workers who aren’t just qualified, but understand their unique requirements.
Because we act as an employer in these cases, it is imperative that we are well-versed in all things HR and health and safety across all areas – which we’ll cover in-depth through these sessions.
All new starters with no prior or limited experience in case management will automatically be enrolled onto the course. Both self-employed and employed case managers are eligible to attend.
Every participant will receive a training certificate for each module completed and attendance will be tracked via our internal training spreadsheet.
