Pay: £16.28-£17.85 per hour plus sleep-in night rate of £12.87 p/h

About the Role
We are looking for a support worker to join our team working with Mr C in his home, in Red Lodge, Suffolk. The role is for 24 hour shifts (usually 09.30 – 09.30), including sleeping nights, working every 3rd day/night, averaged to 56 hours per week. Optional overtime to cover for staff leave will be available.
The team provide cover 24-hours a day, including a sleep-in night, led by a very experienced Team Leader.
The staff usually work on a 2:1 basis, but sometimes 1:1 is necessary so applicants must have the confidence to lone work at times.
About Mr C
Mr C has cerebral palsy which affects all 4-limbs, which means he relies on a wheelchair and is hoist transferred. He enjoys going out in the community and all things related to driving and vehicles.
He uses Makaton to communicate his wishes.
Staff implement various therapy programmes, Mr C has regular physiotherapy, OT and music therapy input. This role would suit someone with experience in working with people with disabilities in their own home.
