Support Worker – Full-time; part-time and relief hours
Location: Near Bury St Edmunds (Approximately 4 miles)
Hours: Full Time/Part Time and Relief hours are available for this expanding team.
Pay: £15.70 ph weekday daytime hours and £17.13ph weekend day time hours.
Sleeping nights £122.10 per sleep in based on 10 hours.

Essential Requirements (Please Apply Only If You Meet These)
- Female applicants only (Occupational Requirement – Equality Act 2010)
- Previous experience as a Support Worker
- Non-smokers only
- Comfortable supporting swimming and hydrotherapy
- Must like dogs and horses
- Full UK driving licence (max 3 points) and access to your own vehicle
- Comfortable supporting with personal care and community access
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
About the Role
To support ‘A’ to live the life she wants to live and be more independent.
To support ‘A’ with all areas of her day to day life, to support her with her complex needs and also organise and plan her day.
About ‘A’
A is 22 years of age and lives in her own home with her mother. She has a directly recruited support team. A has cerebral palsy and a learning disability. She has high personal care and support needs but wants to live a full and active life just like every 22 year old young person.
A likes to be out and about doing her daily activities, meeting her friends and family and also likes to go on holidays. She also likes to have adventures and has a keen sense of fun.
A is looking to extend her team with support workers who can support her to achieve her goals.
Working Hours
- Shifts are 2:1 8am to 8pm or 8am to 6pm weekdays and weekends
- Full time and part time and relief hours available over the 7 day week
- Sleeping nights as requested and planned
- Flexibility required (agreed in advance)
- Opportunity for additional hours as the care package grows
Key Responsibilities
- Support with daily living and personal care
- Assist with community activities and social engagement
- Promote independence and ensure safety
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Maintain accurate records and communicate with the wider care team
- It is important to ‘A’ that you can drive her vehicle, that you are happy to support her in a swimming pool and that you like dogs and horses
