The team are celebrating after valuable team member, Lisa Goudy marked her 10th year with the business by adding Clinical Governance Lead to her role.
Lisa first joined Ben Holden Ltd in 2015, returning to the world of case management after taking a career break to start a family.
Since then, she has become an integral member of the team, supporting countless clients on their road to recovery following catastrophic injury.
Lisa, who is an occupational therapist by professional background, has a wealth of experience which includes both clinical and senior management roles in the NHS and private settings. Her clinical strengths lie within neuro-rehabilitation and orthopaedics and amputation rehabilitation.
Lisa is now furthering her senior management contribution to the business by adding Clinical Governance Lead to her role, which sees her take on more work behind the scenes to ensure all our work meets the highest industry standards.
This includes regular in-depth auditing, data analysis and service evaluations to hold us to account and ensure every part of our care and treatment pathway is scrutinised.
Lisa said her love for her profession has continued to grow over the past 10 years, adding that her case management role doesn’t feel like work at all.
“The clients we meet have had their lives change in a heartbeat,” she said. “So, it is so joyous to be a glimmer of hope in their lives, during the most difficult of circumstances.
“We take a meaningful and purposeful approach to improve each injured person’s life. In all honesty, it feels more like a paid hobby than work. I just love it.
“I don’t wake up on a Monday morning dreading going to work.”
That approach to case management – tied with the expertise across the team – is what first inspired her to join the business.
“I’m a very loyal person, but I think my time working with Ben Holden Ltd is testament to how great a company it is,” she said.
“It’s a very inclusive company led by a very professional group of people who share the same values and qualities. Adding value and keeping the client at the centre is at the very heart of everything the business does.
“I spoke to two case management companies when I made the return to work as a case manager, the second being Ben Holden Ltd – and straight away during my first conversation with Ben, I knew we were on the same page.
“I needed someone already on the HCPC register to mentor me and help me get back to full registered status on the register – which Ben didn’t have to do, but he did.
“He saw my true potential and put the time and effort in to help get me back on track.”
Lisa added she would highly recommend a career in the sector.
“I would definitely recommend a career in case management,” she said. “If you have the right clinical experience and want to try something different, it could be a great career option.”
Ben Holden added: “I can’t believe we are now celebrating 10 years of Lisa – it only feels like yesterday that we first met.
“She has become an integral part of the business – not only is she very highly regarded in the industry, she’s brilliant at building rapport with our clients too and always receives great feedback.
“She is a bright, very enthusiastic and clinically astute member of the team and we’re very proud to have her.”
