Children’s Support Worker (part-time)
Location: Witham, Essex
Hours: 10 hours per week (Tuesday and Saturday)
Pay: £16.00 to £17.00 per hour

- Previous experience as a Children’s Support Worker / Learning Support Assistant
- Full UK driving licence (max 3 points) and access to your own vehicle
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
About the Role
Ben Holden Ltd are a Case Management company, commissioned to provide supervision and management to staff who are employed by the person they work for.
We are currently seeking a caring and enthusiastic individual to support ‘Lance’ in his family home on a Tuesday afternoon and Saturday daytime.
About Lance
Lance is a young boy with complex health needs and neuro disabilities due to sustaining a hypoxic brain injury at the time of his birth. He enjoys the company of enthusiastic and caring adults and requires the following assistance.
- Support in the home for personal care.
- Support with eating and drinking.
- Support in managing seizures on both a day to day and in an emergency.
- Support in being administered medication both daily and PRN (as required).
- Support with communication and use of a communication aid.
- Support with mobility and keeping safe.
- Maintaining a safe environment
- Safeguarding and promoting wellbeing.
- Support to play.
- Support to follow therapeutic programmes designed to promote independence with activities of daily living, mobility, and communication.
- Support with appropriate leisure activities within the home and community.

Working Hours
- Tuesday 15.30 to 17.30
- Saturdays 8 hours (usually between 09.00 – 17.00)
- Flexibility required (agreed in advance)
- Opportunity for additional hours as the care package grows
Key Responsibilities
- Support with daily living and personal care
- Assist with community activities and social engagement
- Promote independence and ensure safety
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Maintain accurate records and communicate with the wider care team
