We are a Case Management company, commissioned to provide supervision and management to staff who are employed by the person they work for. We are looking for a female support worker to join a well-established team who work with Doris in her home in Taverham, Norwich. Hours average at 34 per week, with opportunity for overtime.
We also welcome applicants who are interested in a relief role within the team.
Job Summary
Doris is a 37-year-old lady who has a brain injury. She is a full- time wheelchair user and requires help to access the community, to keep safe at home and with personal care including washing, dressing, going to the toilet and managing her catheter. She lives with her partner in her own home, a purposefully adapted bungalow.
Hours and Shifts
We have a vacancy for 34 hours per week, shifts are currently day shifts only.
Shifts are currently:
AM shift 07.45- 15.30
PM shift 15:15-22.00
Night Shift (waking) 22.00-08.00 (only as optional overtime)
On-call system is in place
Benefits
Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and be happy driving an adapted vehicle.
The ideal candidate will be confident, resilient, have good communication skills and be compassionate and caring. Experience of working with individuals with brain injury and physical disabilities would be preferred.
