‘Mary’ is a 43-year-old lady who lives in her own home in Halesworth, Suffolk. She has a traumatic brain injury and other complex health needs and requires 2:1 support with personal care, moving and handling, meal planning and preparation/planning for the day ahead.
‘Mary’ is friendly and caring and is looking for people to support her that are reliable and friendly and who can support her to be as independent as possible. She can be quite anxious and finds change difficult so support will be focused upon gaining and building trust and working together with her to ensure she is safe.
Current team and vacancies
This is an opportunity to join a new 2:1 support team. Supporting ‘Mary’ in her own home. At present we have part time, full time, and relief positions available.
This post is open to female staff only as it personal care. (Occupational Requirement Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 Part 1).
Support is required during the day in the morning 0600hrs to 0900hrs, and then again at 1700 hrs to 2100 hrs.
It is possible that this support will grow and there will be other shifts available.
Benefits
Drivers must have access to their own vehicle they are prepared to use for work purposes and hold a full driving licence, although a driving licence is not essential.
